A good indication to the character of a place is often its cuisine. In the Costa del la Luz, you will find a wonderful variety of dishes as well as settings in which to dine.

As with much of southern Spanish cuisine, there are strong mediterranean and arab influences. Along the coast you can expect wonderful fresh seafood and salads simply prepared. Fish soups and rice based dishes are also popular. Whereas inland you are more likely to find well prepared meat stews and game dishes. Wherever you go, the local wines and olive oils must be tried. These above all else evoke the wonderful flavours of this area and frankly nothing tastes better than a good quality olive oil poured on some fresh local bread, enjoyed with a glass of vino tino.
